Membership Use

Three Year Program

The Gold Car Care membership is a three year program, billed at a one-time fee of $699.

Renewal: Gold Memberships automatically renew at the current Green Drop Membership monthly rate on the fourth anniversary of the membership sign-up date unless the Gold Member requests non-renewal. 

One vehicle per membership: A Gold Car Care membership is linked to an individual vehicle. Customers can establish as many Gold memberships as they choose with each membership dedicated to an individual vehicle.

Transfers (vehicles): Transfers between vehicles are allowed with proof of sale or loss. We reserve the right to limit transfers to one transfer per annual period. Unfortunately, if a vehicle is totaled or sold, we cannot change the original terms agreed upon at the time of Gold Car Care registration, but please contact us at membership@greendropgarage.com for options.



Transfers (membership accounts): Gold Memberships are valuable and come with shop credits, Green Drop Membership services and privileges, and Oil Change passes. Rather than close a Gold Membership, the account holder can transfer or gift their Gold Membership to someone with a Car, Truck, SUV, or certain Heavy Duty vehicle (example: Sprinter Van). Transferring and upgrading to a different vehicle type is possible. Contact membership@greendropgarage.com for more information.

Abuse of Membership

Any abuse of the Gold Car Care membership, as determined by Green Drop Garage, will result in cancellation of membership. The Gold Car Care membership is not available for commercial use vehicles, such as Lyft, ridesharing, meal delivery, or other business use; using the Gold Car Care membership for a commercial-use vehicle is considered abuse. Transferring to vehicles not owned by your household is considered abuse of membership.

OBD-II Port

Green Drop memberships are not designed for vehicles without an OBD-II Port. In general, this applies to all vehicles older than 1996.

Gold Car Care Services

We encourage you to come in for your car’s first visit as soon as your membership is active. The Gold Car Care membership visit is available to all active members and covers all basic maintenance for personal-use vehicles.

Basic maintenance: what to expect

All basic maintenance services are performed at Green Drop’s discretion and are based on manufacturer specifications and backed by our good judgment. We do not recommend any unnecessary maintenance.

Typical Services included in the Gold Car Care membership:

• Oil changes
• Engine air filter replacement
• Tire rotation
• Wiper blade* replacement
• Replace any burned out bulbs** or fuses
• Top off any fluids
• Dealership advocacy
• Carfax maintenance submissions
• Tire discounts
• Safety inspection
• Trouble code scans

*Specialty wipers

Most windshield wipers are covered in the Gold Car Care membership (limit $30 value).

**Specialty bulbs

Most exterior light bulbs are covered in the Gold Car Care membership (limit $30 value). However, specialty bulbs and extra labor require additional payment.

Preliminary diagnostics

While advanced diagnostics lasting longer than 15 minutes are not covered under the Gold Car Care membership, a preliminary 15-minute or less diagnostic is included in the Gold Car Care membership. Advanced diagnostics require additional payment (diagnostics lasting longer than 15-minutes).

Tire discounts

For vehicles covered under a membership: Receive a $10 discount on every tire purchased when mounted and balanced.

Loaner vehicles

While we make every effort to provide a “loaner” vehicle at the time of drop-off, the availability of a loaner vehicle cannot be guaranteed at a specific time or location.

Vouchers and Passes

Service vouchers are for shop credit at any Green Drop Garage. This program includes one $150 service voucher every 12 months for a total of three years. Service vouchers cannot be combined with other offers or lumped together. 

Buddy Passes are free Oil Change services that Gold Members can gift to someone with a vehicle that takes oil. There is no charge to Gold Members or Buddy Pass recipients. Two Buddy Passes are available for every Gold Member every year for three years. To redeem a Buddy Pass, the recipient must schedule an Oil Change appointment and in the comments, note Buddy Pass from [Gold Member’s email address].



Referral Vouchers: Referral vouchers are given when any Green Drop member refers a new Green Drop Member. Any Green Drop Member can earn a $50 service voucher good for shop credit at any Green Drop Garage. Vouchers cannot be combined with other offers or vouchers. To earn the $50 referral voucher, the new Green Drop Member must include the referring member’s email address at time of signup.
